We are a group of passionate individuals who love to perform classic rock tunes! Consisting of three Seniors, and one Junior in High School.
We play classic rock tunes at assemblies for our school and we collaborate with other companies in our local community. We are also on SoundCloud!
We believe that The Basement Bros can spread positivity and awareness for stage fright as well as impact the vibes in our local community through the power of music.
Listen to our most popular cover song, Let It Be, by the Beatles at our last winter concert assembly at Worcester Academy
Listen to our most popular cover on Youtube, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, by Bob Dylan performed on the Megaron Steps at Worcester Academy
Listen to our band member, Mukund's, favorite song cover, My Back Pages, by Bob Dylan performed in the Warner Theater
Listen to our most recent performance, Now and Then by the Beatles, with our new band member, Jack!
Peyton is a multi-talented musician and lead singer of the Basement Bros. He plays the Piano, Drums, Trumpet, and Guitar and loves to compose his music consisting of all genres.
Mukund is a core instrumentalist and arranger for the Basement Bros and he occasionally sings as well! He is a vital part of the band as he plays so many instruments.
Solo? That's Andrew's favorite question, as he is our main guitar soloist and also our bass player at times. Andrew is partially deaf in one ear but is still a very accomplished musician
Tommy is a dedicated and very advanced drummer who can adapt and adjust on the fly when performing live. He is also an international member of the band and the most important piece of the puzzle.
Jack claims to be a "beginner" bass player, however, his natural talent for improvising bass lines and learning on the fly makes him a valuable musician and a note-worthy member of the band.
For his High School Senior Project, our very own Mukund Balaji has dropped a cover album on Spotify containing songs such as My Back Pages, All Things Must Pass, and more! Please help us support a fellow Basement Bro and stream "Mostly in E" now on Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube!
Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No. The Basement Bros are not affiliated with Worcester Academy in any way, shape, or form. Our band members all currently study and are expected to graduate from the institution, however, while the Basement Bros did originate from a club at Worcester, we have since then become our own independent entity.
The Basement Bros play primarily rock tunes. We have played 1 pop song titled "Sunroof" by Nicky Youre which was one exception to our standard song selection. Our band members are very unlikely to select another pop song in the future unless it is explicity requested for a performance venue.
The Basement Bros are at a very pivotal moment in the band's history because we currently consist of 4 senior high school members who are all planning to attend college. Unless we can catch a huge break and rise to success, it is not very promising that the Basement Bros will continue to make music together. However, small gigs and performances are still on the table going beyond 2024...
As of right now, the Basement Bros does not have an original song. The band was formed with the intent of being strictly a rock cover band, however, some of our members have pushed for the creation and have proposed chord progressions for an original song. It is possible that something could be released in the future...
